Property Prices Falling?

Share

This is an email I sent to my Property Investor Ideas Exchange (PIIX) group. After reading it I thought to myself, “This might make an interesting blog article.” Hence, this article. You be the judge. Articles pertain to the Australian property market. Enjoy!

Hello Fellow Property Investors,

I felt compelled to share these two articles with you because … well, they seem so appropriate!

Lately, have you heard anyone as the questions, “Will property prices fall?” and/or, “How, do you invest in a flat property market?” If so – and you’re curious about hearing some dialog on these subjects – then the following articles may be worth a read.

Property prices will fall as unsold stock levels soar, experts warn

My comments on this article: Very gloomy. But, still just someone’s opinion. And, will be interesting to see if predictions come about; 2011 market turn-down. After all, they predicted a terrible year for 2009, they couldn’t have been more off the mark. And, let me finish with a rhetorical question … “Why is it that most folks believe bad news without requiring any proof, but good news needs to be backed up with a mountain of supporting evidence?”

INVESTMENT STRATEGIES IN A FLAT PROPERTY MARKET

My comments on this article: Great insights. I especially like the following:

1) “… successful property investors should be able to make money under any market conditions.”

2) “To be successful you need to buy a property below its intrinsic value, in an area that has always exhibited strong long term capital growth and add value to your property.”
