Selecting the right property manager … how?

Do I get a good property manager with this house?

I just got back from a trip to Queensland where I purchased a property.  We’re thinking of moving there one day so decided to buy now while the buying appears “excellent.”  In the meantime, we’ll rent it out.

So, time to find a property manager.

I decided to go about the selection process in a methodical way.  A more diligent way than I’ve done in the past.  And, in the end, I feel it worked quite well.  I feel my process lead me to one of the best property managers in the  area.  Time will tell if I’m right.

But, I have a back-up.  I can always change property managers if this one doesn’t work out.

I would rather not resort to this option and that’s why I’ve taken a bit more care and diligence this time in my selection process.  I feel it’s better to do the hard work up front locating the right person, than the hire  and fire until you do.  Less stressful to do the work upfront.

And, I’d like to share  what I discovered with you.  I’ve created  a series of videos explaining essentially what I did; my 5 step plan.  It’s  all on my PIIXGROUP (Property Investor Ideas Exchange) website.

The first video is Selecting a property manager:  5 Steps (Intro).  You may want to check it out to find out what I did.  Then check out the other videos to get more details about each step.

I hope you get some value from watching these videos.  Let me know if they help and/or ways that I could improve them.  Thanks!
